Another Hemel-en-Aarde cellar for Pinot and Chardonnay. One of these three is the tasting. The rest of the day is Hermanus.

Pinot

A short history

Ataraxia is a Pinot and Chardonnay cellar on the Hemel-en-Aarde ridge. The name is the Greek word for a calm mind.

Tim Hamilton Russell planted the first vines in this valley in 1975. The later cellars, this one among them, followed that lead. One of the three is the tasting. Hermanus gets the rest of the day.

Opening times

The tasting room publishes its own hours, and they change. Check before you drive.
