The vineyard that made this valley a Pinot and Chardonnay trip. Above Hermanus, so it is an overnight or a very long day from Cape Town.

Pinot

A short history

Tim Hamilton Russell bought this land in 1975 and planted the first commercial vines in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley. The first vintage was 1981. His son Anthony took over in 1991 and kept the estate to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

It is above Hermanus, so the trip is an overnight, or a very long day from Cape Town.
