Meerendal
One of the old Durbanville vineyards, on the north side of the hills, with a restaurant. Quieter than a Saturday in Stellenbosch.

A short history
Meerendal dates from 1702, when vines were already in the ground on the north side of the Tygerberg. A Pinotage block planted in 1955 is still farmed, from cuttings that go back to the early Pinotage vineyards.
The homestead is the quiet stop. It pairs with Diemersdal, on the same side of the hills.
Opening times
The tasting room publishes its own hours, and they change. Check before you drive.
