A short history
The farm is Twee Jonge Gezellen, two young companions, at the foot of the Saronsberg. The ground dates from about 1710, and wine under the Krone name became the Cap Classique. The first Krone Borealis, from the 1987 vintage, was released in 1991.
The Rands family bought the farm in 2012, the first change of family in its history. Once you have driven into the Tulbagh bowl, two vineyards is the day.
