Constantia Glen
Also on Constantia Main Road, a few minutes from Beau Constantia. Pick one of them if lunch is already booked lower in the valley.
A short history
The farm was registered in 1813 as Benydendal, to Johannes Gregorius van Helsdingen. By 1832 his nephew had about 15,000 vines here. In 1843 Sebastiaan Valentyn van Reenen renamed it Glen Alpine.
The Waibel family have held the land since 1960. They planted vineyards again in 2000, and the first wine under the Constantia Glen name was the 2005 vintage. Beau Constantia is a few minutes away. Pick one of them if lunch is already booked lower in the valley.
