Alcoholic fermentation was completed in old French oak barrels, with bâtonnage performed daily, after which the wine matured for an additional eight months in oak.
Witteberg Chenin Blanc is named after the mountain range that surrounds the beautiful valleys and lowlands of the Karoo. The slopes and gorges of this majestic mountain create a distinctly different ecosystem to that of the surrounding lowlands, offering reprieve and shelter to the fauna and flora of this arid area; a welcome break from the norm.
